چکیده

The relationship between microbiota and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) progression is still unclear, especially microbiota. We collected biopsy swab samples from 236 participants in health diseases Linzhou. With the average relative abundance (ARA%) of as baseline, this study compared baseline with other groups by Wilcoxon test respectively, ARA% among five was analyzed Kruskal-Wallis test. A number 109 microorganisms were characterized into genus level both specimens on basis 16SrRNA sequencing data. There 12 indicative, same, consistent identified two specimens, including Neisseria, Haemophilus, Aggregatibacter, Fusobacterium, Bergeyella, Selenomonas, Oribacterium, Alysiella, Filifactor, Novosphingobium, Streptococcus f__Lachnospiraceae. first eight increasing normal to ESCC, while others decreasing. Sphingomonas unique one statistical difference four respectively but only biopsy. flora LGIN above groups, Aeromonas, Fretibacterium, Filifactor Solobacterium, which all decreasing tendency. are complicated dynamic changing indicative provides scientific evidence for early detection diagnosis ESCC via easy-collected oral sample. However, more multi-center, large sample size, prospective studies needed future.

Role of Brg1 in progression of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma

Objective(s): Epigenetic regulation of gene expression can be carried out through chromatin remodeling enzymes such as SWI/SNF. Brg1 also known as SMARCA4 is a catalytic subunit of SWI/SNF, which is necessary for MMPs expression. Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) are known as important player enzymes during tumor progression and metastasis. Aberrant epigenetic modification of chromatin should be...

Clinical significance of serum matrix metalloproteinase-13 levels in patients with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC).

OBJECTIVES Matrix metalloproteinase-13 (MMP13) is a highly regulated zinc-dependent endopeptidase and has been reported to be associated with vascular invasion and lymph node metastasis and predicts poor outcome for relatively early stage in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) patients. However, the role of the serum MMP-13 levels in ESCC is still unknown. In the present study, we investi...

Correction: Elevated Maspin Expression Is Associated with Better Overall Survival in Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma (ESCC)

Tumor suppressor maspin is a differentially regulated gene in the progression of many types of cancer. While the biological function of maspin in blocking tumor invasion and metastasis is consistent with the loss of maspin expression at the late stage of tumor progression, the differential expression and the biological significance of maspin in early stage of tumor progression appear to be comp...

Overexpression of astrocyte elevated gene-1 (AEG-1) is associated with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) progression and pathogenesis.

Astrocyte elevated gene-1 (AEG-1), upregulated in various types of human cancers, has been reported to be associated with the carcinogenesis of human cancer. However, the functional significance of AEG-1 in human esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) remains unknown. In the present study, we showed the expression of AEG-1 was markedly upregulated in esophageal cancer cell lines and surgical...
